About Government Medical College Kathua

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in 2017, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges and to make the state's health care system at par with the premier health care institutions across the country.

Government Medical College Kathua is one of the newly established medical colleges under this initiative. The college is committed to providing quality medical education, healthcare services and creating competent medical professionals who can contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
