The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in 2017, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges to make the state’s health care systems at par with the premier health care institutions across the country.
Government Medical College Kathua is one of the newly established medical colleges. Located at the beautiful scenic village of Chak Sajjan in Kathua, it is situated at a distance of 4km from the city of Kathua, which is both the district & sub-district headquarter of Chak Sajjan village.
